American rapper, record producer, Dr Dre’s divorce case has been settled through a property settlement agreement with his ex-wife.
Dre and Nicole recently filed a property settlement agreement in which Dre agreed to pay Young $100 million – $50 million now and $50 million in a year’s time.
Dre’s net worth is estimated to be $820 million. Nicole did not receive half of Dre’s assets because there is a prenuptial agreement, which she contested.
Dre gets to keep seven of the properties they own, including a Malibu home, two Calabasas homes, and four properties in Los Angeles, including a $100 million Brentwood estate.
Dre also receives full ownership of his master recordings, trademarks, and interests in various partnerships and trusts. He also keeps all of their Apple stock, including the proceeds from the Beats by Dre sale.
They divide their vehicles in such a way that he gets six and she gets four.
She gets to keep the jewelry, cash, and bank accounts she had during the marriage.
Nicole is responsible for her own legal fees, which are in the millions of dollars.
According to sources close to Dre, Nicole could have gotten a bigger settlement if she had settled a year ago.
“She could have even been on the field for the Super Bowl halftime show as a friendly ex-wife,” one of those sources said.
The agreement precludes Young from obtaining spousal support, which was a contentious issue during the divorce.
